    Here are some things to consider before the start of each match

    Ontario Soccer would like to remind all of our new and returning Match Officials about the importance of the pre-game checklist.

    This is an important step to take to ensure all participants, spectators and Match Officials safety, and enjoyment throughout the course of the match.

    Here are some things to consider before the start of each match:

    Tools

    Game Balls

    Field of Play

    Player Equipment

    Whistles & Watches

    Correctly inflated

    Goals are anchored

     Shin guard material is safe and covered by socks

    Referee Badge & Cards

    Safe to use (flaps or tears)

    Nets fastened and in good condition (holes)

    No hard casts and jewelry

    Pen/Pencil for notes Game sheets

    Correct size for the competition

    Lines marked and visible
