Early Life

Yemi Eberechi Alade popularly known as Yemi Alade was born 13 March 1989, is a Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter. She was in Abia state but a native of Ondo state, her father James Alade was a commissioner of police Yoruba descent while her mother is of Igbo descent.

Yemi is the fifth of the seven children in her family.

Education

She attended St. Saviour British Primary School and Victory Grammar School for her secondary in Lagos. She later further to the University of Lagos where she studied Geography.

Musical Career

Yemi Alade started as a member of the girl known group Noty Spices and later won the Peak Talent Show in 2009.

In 2012, Effyzzie Music Group signed Yemi Alade, and released her single titled “Ghen Ghen Love” and later released another “Bamboo” produced by Fliptyce and became a wedding song.
